1. About Chefs Unis

Chefs Unis is a platform connecting clients looking for culinary services with independent professionals, including private chefs, pastry chefs, caterers, bartenders and other culinary talents.

The service is operated by Chefs Unis, a French simplified single-member company currently being incorporated, represented by Michel Hélène and located at 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France.

2. Acceptance of these terms

Accessing or using the website constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use.

Anyone creating a professional account, publishing content or sending a request acknowledges that they have read these terms.

Users who do not accept these terms must stop using the services offered by Chefs Unis.

3. Role of the platform

Chefs Unis presents profiles, menus, services and professional information supplied by registered culinary talents.

Chefs Unis facilitates contact but is not the culinary service provider, the seller of the service or the employer of the professionals presented.

Each professional operates independently and remains solely responsible for their services, prices, availability and commitments to clients.

4. Access to the services

Browsing profiles and sending requests are currently free for clients.

Creating and using a professional account are currently free during the platform’s launch phase.

If paid services or professional subscriptions are introduced, their prices and commercial terms will be presented separately before any subscription is purchased.

Chefs Unis may update its features to improve or secure the service.

5. Accounts and security

Users must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when creating and using an account.

Login credentials are personal and confidential. Users are responsible for protecting them and for activity carried out through their accounts.

Unauthorised access or suspected account compromise must be reported promptly to contact@chefsunis.fr.

Chefs Unis may request confirmation of certain information to protect users and the integrity of the platform.

6. Professional obligations

Professionals confirm that they have the ability, experience, authorisations, insurance and registrations required to operate their business.

They are responsible for their professional identity, business registration where required, professional liability insurance and compliance with applicable hygiene and safety rules.

Professionals must provide truthful information about their experience, photographs, menus, prices, capacity, availability and services.

Before confirmation, they must clearly inform clients of the final price, additional costs, payment, deposit, cancellation and refund conditions.

Professionals remain solely responsible for invoicing and delivering the agreed service.

7. Client obligations

Clients must provide accurate information concerning the date, venue, number of guests and nature of their event.

Before confirmation, clients must inform the professional of allergies, intolerances, dietary requirements and any relevant constraints.

Clients must comply with the conditions agreed directly with the professional, including access, timing, payment and cancellation terms.

Fraudulent use, fictitious requests, abusive conduct or harm directed at a professional may result in restricted or terminated access to Chefs Unis.

8. Requests and bookings

Sending a request through Chefs Unis does not constitute a confirmed booking.

A service is confirmed only when the client and professional have agreed on its content, price, date and conditions.

The service contract is entered into directly between the client and the professional. Chefs Unis is not a party to that contract.

Professionals may accept, refuse or suggest changes to a request depending on their availability and conditions.

9. Prices and payments

Prices displayed on Chefs Unis are provided and determined by professionals. They may be starting prices, per-person prices, fixed prices or estimates requiring a quotation.

The final price must be confirmed directly by the professional before booking.

Chefs Unis currently takes no commission on culinary services. Payment and any deposit are paid directly to the professional under the conditions communicated to the client.

Chefs Unis is not responsible for payments, refunds, deposits or financial disputes arising directly between a client and a professional.

10. Published content

Professionals retain ownership of the texts, photographs, menus, creations and other materials they publish.

By publishing content, they authorise Chefs Unis to host, reproduce and display it on the platform to present their activity and services.

Professionals confirm that they hold the necessary rights to the submitted content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

Misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, violent or defamatory content, or content infringing privacy, image or intellectual-property rights, is prohibited.

11. Moderation and verification

Chefs Unis may review profiles and request supporting documents before or after publication.

A profile or verification badge indicates that certain elements were checked at a particular time. It is not an absolute guarantee regarding every future service.

Chefs Unis may correct, suspend, refuse, archive or remove any profile or content that breaches these terms, applicable law or platform security.

Where appropriate, the professional may be invited to explain or correct the situation.

12. Reviews

Reviews must relate to a genuine experience and must be honest, relevant and respectful.

Fraudulent, purchased, manipulated, insulting or unrelated reviews may be rejected or removed.

Chefs Unis may carry out checks to preserve the reliability of published reviews.

13. Availability and liability

Chefs Unis endeavours to keep the website available and secure but cannot guarantee that it will always be free from errors, interruptions or malfunctions.

Maintenance, security operations or updates may temporarily restrict access to certain features.

Chefs Unis cannot guarantee a professional’s availability, the completion of a booking or the outcome of a service performed by an independent professional.

Each party remains responsible for the information provided and the commitments made directly to the other party.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be prohibited by law.

14. Intellectual property

The Chefs Unis name, visual identity, logo, website structure, institutional texts and graphic elements are protected by intellectual-property laws.

Reproduction, adaptation, extraction or substantial use without prior permission is prohibited except where permitted by law.

15. Personal data

Information about the collection and processing of personal data is provided in the Chefs Unis Privacy Policy.

The policy is available through the website footer or at /politique-confidentialite.php.

16. Suspension and deletion

Users may request account closure by writing to contact@chefsunis.fr.

Chefs Unis may suspend or remove an account in cases of fraud, false information, security breaches, violation of these terms or failure to comply with a legal obligation.

Account deletion does not remove obligations or liabilities arising before closure.

17. Changes to these terms

Chefs Unis may amend these terms to reflect changes to the service, applicable law or available features.

The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.

Where a significant change affects registered users, information may be sent to them or displayed in their account.

18. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a difficulty, users should contact contact@chefsunis.fr to seek an amicable solution.

If no amicable solution can be reached, the dispute will be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable legal rules.
